Footage of the flashing-light vehicle used to spirit away the hitman in the Sinan Ateş murder has emerged!

Footage has been obtained of the Audi-brand vehicle, which was mentioned in the indictment prepared against 22 people regarding the murder of former Ülkü Ocakları President Sinan Ateş without even its license plate being provided, and which was used to spirit the hitman Eray Özyağcı away from Ankara to Istanbul.

According to the report by Asuman Aranca from T24, the obtained footage shows that the vehicle, which was learned to have been assigned for protection and was used by former Ülkü Ocakları executives Tolgahan Demirbaş and Emre Yüksel—who are identified as instigators in the indictment—was equipped with flashing lights.

The footage of the vehicle with its "flashing lights" on was captured by the License Plate Recognition System (PTS) at the Çamlıca toll booths the day after the hitman was dropped off in Istanbul, as Demirbaş and Yüksel were returning toward Ankara.

It was observed that the vehicle in question traveled from Mevlana Boulevard toward Gölbaşı at 18:34 on the evening of December 30, the day the murder was committed. Thirteen minutes later, at 18:47, the same vehicle was captured by the camera of a dog breeding farm located on the road leading to the farm in Gölbaşı, where the hitman was first dropped off after the murder by former Ülkü Ocakları executive Tolgahan Demirbaş, who appears as an instigator in the indictment. The vehicle, which then went to the farm owned by Aytaç Ataç to pick up the hitman, with Tolgahan Demirbaş in the front passenger seat and Emre Yüksel in the driver's seat—though the back could not be seen—continued toward Istanbul.

DROPPED OFF IN BOLU

According to the PTS footage, which also overlaps with the phone signal records of Demirbaş and Yüksel, the vehicle passed through Bolu and arrived in Düzce. Around this time, news broke that Vedat Balkaya, the courier who brought the hitman to the scene, had been caught at the Kocaeli toll booths. For this reason, the vehicle used by Yüksel and Demirbaş, which is believed to have had the hitman in the back seat, returned to Bolu around 22:00, and the hitman Özyağcı was dropped off there in a location without cameras.

DIZZYING ROUTE

Demirbaş and Yüksel, who temporarily dropped off the hitman in Bolu and ate at a restaurant there, later set off again toward Istanbul around 23:35 and stayed at a hotel in Kurtköy. However, the indictment mentioned footage from the hotel in Kurtköy where the pair stayed, where the vehicle's license plate could not be read, rather than the footage of the vehicle captured by the PTS. Demirbaş and Yüksel, who spent the night at the hotel in Kurtköy, set off again toward Ankara in the morning and arrived in Bolu around 11:15. The pair, who picked up the hitman once more from Bolu where they had temporarily left him, then turned toward Istanbul again, arrived in Pendik once more around 13:15, dropped off the hitman in an area without cameras, and returned toward Ankara as of 13:45. The footage of the vehicle's flashing lights being on was captured by PTS cameras during this time.

IT WAS UNDERSTOOD HE WAS SAVED BY POLICE

It had previously emerged that the hitman Özyağcı, who had an arrest warrant against him for previous crimes, was brought from Istanbul to Ankara in a Transporter-brand vehicle by two special operations police officers. It was understood that the vehicle used by the police was stopped for a traffic check during the arrival in Ankara, but the police officer named Aşkın Mert Gelenbey, who was driving the vehicle, showed his ID card and saved the hitman from being caught. It was alleged that the 'flashing-light and assigned' vehicle in question was transferred to other people after it was determined that it was used to spirit away the hitman.

AYŞE ATEŞ PROVIDED THE LICENSE PLATE IN HER STATEMENT

It also emerged that Ateş's wife, Ayşe Ateş, stated in her testimony—which was not included in the indictment—that the license plate of this vehicle was 06 AT 5021 and that it had a protection assignment, saying, "I request that it be determined in whose name the vehicle is registered, by whom it was used, its toll booth passage information before, on the day of, and after the incident, its transit routes from the License Plate Recognition System (PTS), who its user was on those dates, and who was in this vehicle, and that these individuals be identified by comparing base station records with other suspect individuals."
