Foreign Minister Fidan holds 'constructive' talks in Greece: 'Every dimension of our relations'
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated, "In the meetings we held in Greece, we addressed every dimension of our relations with a sincere and constructive approach."
Foreign Minister Fidan, in a post on his X social media account regarding his visit to Greece, said, "Today, in the meetings we held in Greece, we addressed every dimension of our relations with a sincere and constructive approach. We also held consultations in mutual trust on some issues where there are differences of opinion between our countries."
Minister Fidan stated, "We are in agreement on making the positive climate between our countries permanent, in line with our goal of turning the Aegean into a sea of peace. There are numerous interconnected issues in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean.
We will continue to address all issues that have the potential to create tension on the basis of international law, mutual respect, and the principles of good neighborliness. The fact that we have a mutual will in this direction is a valuable achievement in itself," he said.

Touching upon the Turkish minority living in Greece and the Cyprus issue, Minister Fidan said, "We attach great importance to the establishment of the rights and freedoms of our minority and kinsmen living in Greece and to the protection of our cultural heritage. With this understanding, we met with the members of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board. We conveyed our views on the resolution of the Cyprus issue based on the realities on the Island to our counterparts."
Fidan, who also met with his Greek counterpart, said, "I would like to thank my esteemed colleague Gerapetritis for his kind hospitality and sincere welcome."
