Foreign Minister Fidan's 'Gaza' message in China: 'We will continue to work together with Beijing'
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. In a joint press statement, Minister Fidan said, "We appreciate China's support for a two-state solution. President Xi's call for a peace conference is extremely important. We will continue to work with China for a ceasefire in Gaza."

"WE APPRECIATE CHINA'S SUPPORT FOR A TWO-STATE SOLUTION"
Fidan included the following statements in his remarks:
"China and Turkey are two ancient civilizations of Asia, the driving engines of Asia. Bilateral relations are progressing in line with the vision of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Chinese leader Xi. Turkey and China have overlapping views in many areas; good relations will contribute to global prosperity and stability."
Stating that China's sensitivity regarding the Palestinian issue is gratifying, Fidan said, "We appreciate China's support for a two-state solution. Xi's call for a peace conference is extremely important. Some countries that provide military and political support to Israel are complicit in Israel's genocide. We will continue to work with China for a ceasefire in Gaza."
"TURKEY'S SUPPORT FOR CHINA'S TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY IS FULL"
Stating that Turkey and China share common views in many areas, Fidan said, "Turkey and China have a common understanding on Ukraine. Turkey's support for China's territorial integrity is full."
VISIT TO URUMQI AND KASHGAR
Providing information about his upcoming visit to Urumqi and Kashgar, Fidan said:
"Urumqi and Kashgar are Turkic-Islamic cities. These places are bridges between China and the Islamic world. The unity of peoples is our wealth. The imbalance in bilateral trade volume must be addressed. We have made concrete proposals to resolve this imbalance. The Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism will visit Turkey this week. We brought up how the Middle Corridor and the Belt and Road Initiative can be integrated."
