Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a series of meetings in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. Fidan met with Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin to discuss cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic, cultural, and security fields.

In his statement regarding his visit to Tajikistan, Fidan stated that Turkey and Tajikistan share strong and unshakable ties.
Emphasizing the determination of the leaders of both countries to advance relations at every level, Fidan stated that they discussed cooperation in many areas such as economy, business, security, education, and tourism.
He also expressed that they discussed in detail issues such as the opportunities for Turkish businesspeople to operate in Tajikistan, as well as financing, investments, and projects. Fidan noted that TİKA's activities are highly appreciated in Tajikistan and that they held talks on further advancing cooperation in the field of education.
He stated that they also conveyed their requests for the Turkish Maarif Foundation to operate more extensively in Tajikistan. Furthermore, it was reported that a cooperation program covering the years 2024-2026 was signed between the two countries.
