In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the following expressions were used: "We strongly condemn the statement made by Colombia aimed at legitimizing the Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights, which constitutes an inseparable part of Syria. Such isolated efforts, which constitute a grave violation of international law, primarily United Nations Security Council Resolution 497, have no legal value. On this occasion, we reiterate our call for the international community to fulfill its responsibilities to end Israel's occupation in southern Syria, including the Golan Heights, and its attacks targeting the country's sovereignty and stability. Turkey will continue its support for the preservation of Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty, and for the establishment of lasting peace and stability in the country."
