Foreign Ministry reacts to 'Famagusta' series

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a harsh statement regarding the series titled "Famagusta," which is set to be broadcast on a digital platform. The Ministry stated that the series distorts historical facts and serves the black propaganda of the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus.

In a written statement released on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' X account, it was emphasized that the series "Famagusta" constitutes a great disrespect to the memories of Turkish Cypriots massacred by Greek Cypriot gangs between 1963 and 1974. The Ministry stated that the series aims to reflect the facts differently than they are and that such attempts only strengthen the determination in the national cause of Cyprus.

The statement read, "Such futile attempts to reflect the facts differently only further strengthen our determination in our national cause of Cyprus. We commemorate our Cyprus veterans with respect and our martyrs with mercy."
