Foreign Ministry statement on attacks in Iran

In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the joint Israel-US attack launched against Iran in the morning hours, the phrase "Turkey is ready to provide the necessary support for mediation" was included. The statement from the Ministry included the following:

"TURKEY IS READY TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY SUPPORT FOR MEDIATION"

"We are deeply concerned by any action that violates international law and threatens the lives of innocent civilians, and we condemn provocations that could lead to an escalation of violence. We invite the parties to end the attacks as soon as possible. We once again emphasize that the issues in our region should be resolved through peaceful means. Turkey is ready to provide the necessary support for mediation."

RESPONSE FROM THE CCM TO THOSE ALLEGATIONS

The Communications Directorate's Center for Combating Disinformation (CCM) announced that allegations appearing on some social media platforms claiming that Turkey supported the recent attacks on Iran are baseless.

The statement from the CCM said, "Allegations appearing on some social media platforms claiming that Turkey supported the recent attacks on Iran are completely baseless and constitute disinformation intended to mislead the public. The Republic of Turkey does not allow any of its air, land, or sea assets, including its airspace, to be used for operational purposes in favor of any party in any conflict or war to which it is not a party. This matter is among our country's fundamental foreign policy and security principles. Turkey's sovereign rights over its air, land, and sea space are full and indisputable. All activities regarding our sovereign areas are carried out solely in line with the Republic of Turkey's national security assessments and under the supervision and control of authorized bodies. It is kindly requested that the public not give credence to speculative and unfounded allegations and only take into account statements made by official authorities."
