The forensic report for Op. Dr. Özlem Gültekin, who was found dead in her clinic in İzmir, states that the cause of death was propofol poisoning.
The forensic report regarding the death of Op. Dr. Özlem Gültekin, whose lifeless body was found in her private clinic in İzmir, has been released. The report states that the cause of death for the 48-year-old Gültekin was poisoning from propofol, an anesthetic drug.
Questions surrounding Gültekin's death have returned to the agenda following the forensic examination and information reflected in hospital records. Investigations reportedly determined that Gültekin's heart stopped during the administration of an IV drip and propofol at her private clinic.

WHAT WAS IN THE REPORT?
It was learned that Gültekin, who was taken to the hospital after intervention by medical teams called to the scene, underwent CPR for a long time. The findings in the forensic report are said to align with previous statements made by her husband, presenter Erhan Çelik, who was in the process of divorcing her.

In a statement following Gültekin's death, Çelik claimed that his wife's use of anesthetic substances dated back many years and stated that he had made attempts both domestically and abroad for her treatment process.
In his statement, Çelik said, "I learned that her use of anesthesia had a 12-year history long after we were married, in 2023, by chance from the home security camera."
Stating that he had shared the information, documents, and visual evidence in his possession with the prosecutor's office, Çelik expressed that he had made efforts for her treatment for two years starting in 2023 but had not achieved any results.
