Forest area burns on Ondokuz Mayıs University campus: Fire brought under control
A fire has been reported on the campus of Ondokuz Mayıs University in Samsun.
A forest fire broke out in an oak woodland area located on the university campus in Samsun.
The incident occurred around 13:00 at the Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMÜ) Kurupelit Campus. A fire broke out for an unknown reason in the oak woodland area opposite the Faculty of Medicine.
Firefighters, water tenders, and police water cannon vehicles (TOMA) intervened in the fire. University teams also supported the firefighting efforts. As a result of the firefighting efforts, the fire was brought under control.
