Forest fire in Marmaris: Numerous air and ground units dispatched to the region

Citizens who saw smoke rising from the Asarcık Üzümbağları forested area between Bozburun and Selimiye in Marmaris, Muğla, reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

Teams were dispatched to the region to extinguish the fire, the location of which was determined by surveillance crews.

The Muğla Regional Directorate of Forestry stated that as of now, 12 fire trucks, 2 water supply vehicles, 1 construction machine, 1 helicopter, and numerous firefighting personnel have been dispatched to the fire zone.

BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL

The fire that broke out in a forested area in the Marmaris district of Muğla was brought under control in a short time with the aerial and ground intervention of the teams.

While cooling efforts continue, an investigation into the cause of the fire has been initiated.
