Süleyman Akyüz, the former AKP Bursa Provincial Youth Branch President, was found dead in an apartment where he was staying in the Konaklar neighborhood of Trabzon's Ortahisar district.
After apartment staff noticed the situation and alerted authorities, medical teams arrived at the scene and determined that Akyüz had passed away.
While the body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy, the funeral for Akyüz, who died at the age of 40, will be held in Trabzon during the afternoon prayer time.
CONDOLENCE STATEMENT FROM THE AKP
In a condolence message published by the AKP Bursa Provincial Youth Branch Presidency, the following statements were included: "Our former Provincial Youth Branch President, our comrade and fellow traveler Süleyman Akyüz has passed away. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 21 (Today), following the afternoon prayer at the Trabzon Uzungöl Central Mosque. We pray for God's mercy upon our esteemed President; we extend our condolences to his family, loved ones, and our organization. May he rest in peace."
