Former Central Bank Chief Economist Hakan Kara shares 'rule of law' chart: A major decline
Former Central Bank Chief Economist Hakan Kara shared a chart on his social media account under the heading of Rule of Law and Happiness Index, highlighting the point Turkey has reached in terms of the rule of law from 2003 to 2023.
According to the chart shared by Kara on his social media account, the rule of law line, which approached 55 percent in 2003, shows -0.6 by 2023.
One of the most striking things here is that the happiness index and the rule of law index met on the same line in 2003.
This supports the idea that people in a state governed by the rule of law lead happier lives.
Another notable point is that while the rule of law line approached its lowest levels between 2019 and 2023, the happiness index showed a similar trend.
The chart shared by Hakan Kara serves as an important indicator in terms of showing the change that has occurred since the AKP government came to power in 2002.
