Süreyya Serdengeçti, former governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, has died.
Economist Süreyya Serdengeçti had taken on key roles in the recovery of the Turkish economy following the 2001 crisis and had led the team that succeeded in bringing inflation down to single digits within three years.
