According to the report by BirGün, Mehmet Cemil Acar, the former Head of the Operations Department of the State Airports Authority (DHMI), appeared in court today as part of the ongoing "bribery" and "corruption" case against him.
The court panel decided to release Acar.
It had been understood that Acar, who was reported to have had "26 kilograms of gold bullion and a large amount of foreign currency seized from a safe in his home," had become wealthy in real estate while serving as a bureaucrat.
