Former DYP deputy Hüseyin Balyalı has passed away

Hüseyin Balyalı, who served as a Balıkesir deputy for the DYP, has passed away at the age of 82. Balyalı, who was undergoing cancer treatment, fell ill at his home and was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.

Former DYP deputy Hüseyin Balyalı has passed away

Hüseyin Balyalı, who served as a Balıkesir deputy for the True Path Party (DYP), has passed away.

Balyalı, who lived in the Edincik neighborhood of Balıkesir's Bandırma district and had been receiving cancer treatment for some time, fell ill at his home last night.

Balyalı was taken to Bandırma State Hospital, but could not be saved despite medical intervention.

The funeral of Balyalı, who served as a 19th-term DYP Balıkesir deputy in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), will be held on Monday, May 6, following the noon prayer at the Haydar Çavuş Mosque in Bandırma, after which he will be laid to rest in his hometown of Bayramiç, a rural neighborhood in the Gönen district.

WHO IS HÜSEYİN BALYALI?

Born on July 10, 1942, in the Gönen district of Balıkesir, Hüseyin Balyalı graduated from the Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Administrative Sciences in 1967.

Balyalı worked as a Revenue Controller at the Ministry of Finance between 1970 and 1976, served as the provincial finance director (defterdar) in Bursa, Diyarbakır, and Ankara from 1976 to 1984, and held the position of Advisor to the Ministry of Finance from 1984 to 1991.

Married and a father of three, Balyalı served in parliament as a Balıkesir deputy from 1991 to 1995.
