Former HDP MP Hüda Kaya, who entered prison in the morning, was released in the evening.
This morning, former HDP MP Hüda Kaya, who had surrendered to prison due to a finalized 1.5-year prison sentence, was released on the evening of the same day. Kaya's lawyer, Zilan Leventoğlu, announced that her client had been released and provided a detailed statement regarding the process.
A lawsuit had been filed against Kaya in 2022 on the grounds that she had a mobile phone in her bag during a visit to her son, who was in prison, and this case resulted in a finalized 1.5-year prison sentence. The situation of Kaya, who entered prison in the morning, had sparked debate in the public and legal circles.

In her statement, the lawyer said, "Our client Hüda Kaya has been released. This result is not only the success of a legal struggle but also the shared success of solidarity and social conscience."
Following her release, Hüda Kaya shared on social media, "With the power of solidarity... To true freedoms, to free days... Thank you to everyone."
