Former Labour Party leader speaks out on the killing of Ayşenur

Corbyn made assessments regarding the killing of Turkish activist Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi by Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank and the process of the International Criminal Court seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

'LET US REMEMBER HER AS A BRAVE AND INTELLIGENT WOMAN'

Former Labour Party leader Corbyn reacted to the killing of 26-year-old Eygi by the Israeli army, stating the following:

"Ayşenur's death is disgusting and horrifying. She was a wonderful woman who was trying to tell the world what is really happening under occupation and bombardment. Along with many journalists killed in Gaza and the West Bank, she was also killed by Israeli forces. Let us remember her as a brave and intelligent woman. As we remember her, let us redouble our efforts to end the conflict by stopping the supply of arms to Israel."

'ISRAEL NEEDS TO WITHDRAW FROM GAZA'

Pointing out that Israel has extended its attacks on Gaza to the West Bank, Corbyn said, "I think Israel needs to withdraw from Gaza, and of course, it must also withdraw from the occupied West Bank because this is of fundamental importance for the rights of the Palestinian people who want to live in peace."

Regarding the ICC's process of seeking arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant, Corbyn recalled that the court has evaluated Israel's actions as an attempt at genocide.

Corbyn stated, "This legal process is on the side of the Palestinian people. There is a moral case on the side of the Palestinian people. There is universal political support for the Palestinian people."
