Former minister Mehmet Kocabatmaz passes away
Former State Minister Mehmet Kocabatmaz has passed away at the age of 78. His funeral will be held on Friday in his hometown of Denizli.
A funeral ceremony will be held tomorrow at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) for Mehmet Kocabatmaz, a 21st-term Denizli deputy who served as a State Minister in the 57th government.
Kocabatmaz's funeral will be laid to rest at the Asri Cemetery following Friday prayers at the Denizli Müftü Ahmet Hulusi Efendi Mosque on Friday.
WHO IS MEHMET KOCABATMAZ?
Mehmet Kocabatmaz was born in 1946 in the Tavas district of Denizli.
Kocabatmaz graduated from the Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and completed his doctorate in the Department of Physiology at the Fırat University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
He served as Vice Dean of the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine at Fırat University and Selçuk University, member of the Faculty Board and Administrative Board, Head of the Department of Physiology, Director of the Institute of Health Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education, member of the General Assembly of the Selçuk University Atatürk's Principles and History of Revolution Research and Application Center, as well as a 21st-term Denizli deputy and State Minister.
Kocabatmaz was married and a father of two.
