Former Minister Şahin referred to court with request for judicial control: Released
Former Interior Minister İdris Naim Şahin was referred to the duty magistrate judge with a request for judicial control after giving his statement as a suspect within the scope of the Alihan Kuriş Criminal Organization investigation.
Within the scope of the Alihan Kuriş Criminal Organization investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, former Interior Minister İdris Naim Şahin, the assignee of the vehicle determined to have mediated the kidnapping of organization leader Hilmi Tuna Kuriş, gave his statement as a suspect.
Following his statement, Şahin was referred to the duty magistrate judge with a request for judicial control.

It was learned that the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office requested judicial control for Şahin in the form of a "travel ban."

It was learned that the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office requested the application of a judicial control measure in the form of a "travel ban" for Şahin, based on the charges of "knowingly and willingly aiding the organization" under Article 220/7 of the Turkish Penal Code and "harboring a criminal" under Article 283/1.
Şahin was released by the duty magistrate judge to whom he was referred, subject to the judicial control measure of a travel ban.
