The incident occurred on 48th Street in the Güzelhisar neighborhood of the Efeler district. According to the information obtained, foul odors began to emanate from the third floor of an apartment building. Upon noticing the odors, citizens reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the report, fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon arriving at the scene in a short time, the teams determined that a person had lost their life in the house. Investigations revealed that the deceased was Cemal Aydın Özpolat, the former Aydın provincial chairman of the Motherland Party, who had also worked as a radio programmer for a period. According to initial findings at the scene, it was determined that Özpolat had lost his life approximately 2 weeks ago, and the exact cause of death will be clarified following an autopsy.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
