Free public transport for retirees to be scrapped in one province: They supposedly don't want it!

AKP Karabük Mayor Özkan Çetinkaya has announced that he will scrap his campaign promise of providing free public transport for retirees.

CLAIM THAT RETIREES DO NOT WANT FREE TRANSPORT

According to a report on Now, Çetinkaya claimed that retirees do not want free public transport. Çetinkaya stated, "Let me say this for the first time today. Free minibus and public transport for retirees will be discontinued in the coming days. Following intense complaints from retirees and their statements that 'we do not want it,' we will be removing it."

FOOD ASSISTANCE SUPPORT ALSO SHELVED

Çetinkaya also failed to implement the 1,000 TL food assistance support.
