Participating in a live broadcast on A Haber, Prof. Dr. Şener Üşümezsoy drew attention to the fact that the earthquakes occurring after the 6.1 magnitude tremors were trending southward, and issued a "foreshock" warning.

Following the 6.1 magnitude earthquake on October 27, seismic activity in the region has accelerated. Most recently, a 4.3 magnitude earthquake occurred in the region this evening.

Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Şener Üşümezsoy made important statements regarding the earthquakes in Sındırgı during the live broadcast on A Haber.

"THEY MIGHT BE FORESHOCKS, NOT AFTERSHOCKS"

Pointing out that the earthquakes occurring after the 6.1 magnitude tremor on October 27 were trending southward, Üşümezsoy stated, "The aftershocks of the earthquake in Balıkesir should have been centered in Sındırgı.
