From Ünal Aysal to Beşiktaş! The owner of Les Ottomans has changed
The famous Les Ottomans Hotel has been transferred from former Galatasaray president Ünal Aysal to former Beşiktaş president Serdar Bilgili for 75 million dollars. While Aysal stated that the hotel was struggling to pay its debts to banks, he clarified that the transfer only took place via a property mortgage. Les Ottomans is an 18th-century mansion and is known as one of the iconic structures on the Bosphorus. Aysal emphasized that the process is fraught with legal disputes.
The famous Les Ottomans Hotel has been transferred from former Galatasaray president Ünal Aysal to former Beşiktaş president Serdar Bilgili for 75 million dollars. Aysal explained that the transfer took place because the hotel was struggling to pay its debts to banks.
The 4,527-square-meter hotel in Kuruçeşme began operations in 2006 following a 55 million dollar restoration and is known as one of the iconic structures on the Bosphorus. However, Aysal emphasized that there are mortgages and legal processes regarding the transfer of ownership. It was stated that a long legal process would be required for BLG Capital to become the owner of the hotel, and that there are disputes between the creditor bank and the debtor.

TRANSFERRED FOR 75 MILLION DOLLARS
According to allegations, the hotel owned by former Galatasaray president Ünal Aysal was struggling to pay its debt to banks. The hotel, along with all its debts, was taken over by a group under the management of former Beşiktaş president Serdar Bilgili for 75 million dollars.
Located in one of the most popular spots on the Bosphorus in Kuruçeşme, the 4,527-square-meter Les Ottomans Hotel opened as a hotel in 2006 after a 55 million dollar restoration.

ONE OF THE 9 MANSIONS
The place operating as Les Ottomans Hotel is actually a mansion (yalı). Built in the first half of the 18th century by Grand Vizier Muhsinzade Mehmed Pasha, the mansion is also known as the Muhsinzade Mansion. The aforementioned mansion is one of the 9 Bosphorus mansions located on the Kuruçeşme-Beşiktaş coastline.
STATEMENT FROM ÜNAL AYSAL
Aysal made a statement regarding the matter. The following was noted in the statement:
"The sale of the hotel to BLG Capital or anyone else, the transfer of its ownership, or the transfer of its operation is not in question. The company that owns the hotel has no debt to anyone; it only has a mortgage given in favor of another company.
For this to be converted into cash and for BLG Capital to own the hotel, it would only be possible by reaching an agreement with the company that owns the property or by successfully navigating a 4-5 year legal process.
On the other hand, there is a dispute between the creditor bank and the debtor regarding the amount of the debt due to high interest rates applied, as well as irregularities in the enforcement of the mortgage placed on the property; the legal process between the parties is ongoing. There is no offer or official notification to the company that owns the property.

Furthermore, it is said that there are very serious differences between the actual price BLG Capital paid to the bank and the figure it announced to the public. In summary, there is an alleged attempt, but there is no situation that can be realized."
