Fugitive attempting to escape on horseback caught by drone
Erzurum police apprehended H.Ç., who had outstanding arrest warrants for multiple crimes, as he attempted to flee on horseback in a rural area, following a cinematic pursuit involving both aerial surveillance and ground teams.
As a result of operations conducted by the Erzurum Provincial Security Directorate's Intelligence Branch, Aviation Branch, Special Operations Branch, and the Karaçoban District Security Directorate to apprehend wanted individuals, H.Ç. was captured. The individual was wanted by the Patnos Enforcement and Execution Bureau for "Qualified Robbery," by the Hınıs Enforcement and Execution Bureau for "Armed Threat by More Than One Person," and by the Patnos 1st Criminal Court of First Instance for "Escape of a Convict or Detainee," with a total finalized prison sentence of 14 years and 11 days. H.Ç., who attempted to lose his trail in rural areas on horseback, tried to escape through streams and hilly terrain to evade pursuit, but was captured as a result of the police's persistent efforts. These moments were recorded second by second by an aerial vehicle.
The individual was brought before judicial authorities.
