Fugitive convict opens fire on police in Bursa
A fugitive convict who opened fire on police in the Osmangazi district of Bursa was shot and apprehended.
Teams from the Bursa Provincial Police Department conducted an operation to apprehend D.A., who had a finalized prison sentence of 2 years and 6 months and was identified as a suspect in a robbery incident in the Bağlarbaşı neighborhood, in Kale Street, Küçükbalıklı neighborhood.
D.A., who is also alleged to be involved in drug trafficking, opened fire on police with a gun while attempting to flee.
The convict, who was shot and apprehended by the teams, was found to be in possession of 1 unlicensed pistol and 60 grams of synthetic drugs during a search of his person and home.
The injured D.A. was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
