Fund investigation, reconciliation process, and economy on the Cabinet's agenda

The Presidential Cabinet will meet at the Palace on October 12.

At the meeting, which will be presided over by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, it is expected that developments in domestic and foreign policy, as well as the economic agenda, will be addressed comprehensively.

One of the Cabinet's priority topics will be the process being carried out regarding the funds decided to be liquidated. In this context, interim payments to be made to those with investments in the funds in question and the results obtained at the 4th meeting of the Fund Board will be evaluated.

A 9-article legislative proposal, which includes regulations regarding payments to investors and the liquidation of the funds, had previously been submitted to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). It is expected that the potential effects of the proposal and the implementation process will be brought to the Cabinet's agenda.

Another agenda item for the meeting will be the latest status of the second reconciliation process, referred to as "Terror-Free Turkey." The stage reached following the National Solidarity and Integration Coordination Board's determination of the duties and areas of authority for the sub-commissions that will manage the process will be evaluated.

It is stated that the latest status of the organization's disarmament calendar, in line with data received from security institutions, will also be addressed at the meeting.

Foreign policy topics will include developments between the US and Iran and the ongoing traffic of contacts. The latest situation in Gaza and developments in the Russia-Ukraine war will also be on the Cabinet's agenda.

Under the economy heading, steps toward inflation and price stability will come to the fore. Following the announcement of annual inflation at 29.73 percent, it is expected that the policies to be followed in the coming period within the scope of the Medium-Term Program will be evaluated.
