Funeral held for child who died after being struck by a falling rock in Hakkari
The funeral of 12-year-old Ceyhun Kırbaş, who lost his life after being struck by a rock that broke off a mountain in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari, was held amidst tears in the village of Altınbaşak on the Esendere road.
In the incident that occurred 2 days ago, a passenger minibus traveling from Van to Yüksekova was struck by a rock that broke off a mountain in the Yeni Köprü area. As a result of the accident, 12-year-old Ceyhun Kırbaş was severely injured.

Ceyhun Kırbaş was taken to Yüksekova State Hospital and later transferred to Van Training and Research Hospital. However, despite all medical interventions, he could not be saved and lost his life.

The body of Ceyhun Kırbaş, which was brought from Van to Yüksekova, was laid to rest amidst tears in the village of Altınbaşak on the Esendere road.
