150 new taxis are coming to Istanbul! IMM is launching the first phase tender

Details have begun to emerge regarding the tender for 150 new taxis, which the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality will conduct as the first phase of its 2,500 new taxi project. For the new taxis that will provide 'Application-Based Taxi Transportation,' each license will be granted for 29 years, and operating rights will be given to individuals.

The tender will be held on June 12; while the deadline for submitting bids was announced as June 11, the IMM has set the estimated value for each taxi license within the scope of the tender at 4 million 250 thousand TL + VAT.

TENDER TO BE HELD ON JUNE 12

The tender will take place on June 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Dr. Mimar Kadir Topbaş Performance and Art Center. The deadline for bid submission has been set for June 11, 2025, at 12:00 PM.

Participation in the tender will be via the closed bid method. Those wishing to participate must submit their sealed envelopes containing their bid letters to the Metropolitan Municipality Committee in exchange for numbered receipts.

The IMM has set the estimated value for each taxi license within the scope of the tender at 4 million 250 thousand TL + VAT. The temporary guarantee deposit will be 127 thousand 500 TL.

WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE TENDER?

Applicants must submit;

• A residence certificate showing they reside in Istanbul,

• A valid driver's license,

• A criminal record check,

• A receipt showing the temporary guarantee deposit has been paid,

• Documents such as the receipt for the purchase of the tender specifications.

Only individual applications will be accepted for the tender, and each participant will be entitled to only one license. The relevant tender specifications can be obtained from the IMM Public Transportation Services Branch Directorate for 1,000 TL. Applications must be delivered in person to the IMM Committee Branch Directorate, and applications made via telegram, fax, or mail will not be accepted.
