4 defendants in Narin murder case transferred to different prisons! The reason has been revealed
New developments have occurred in the Narin Güran murder case. Four defendants involved in the murder have been transferred to different prisons across Turkey. It was stated that this decision was taken to encourage potential confessions among the defendants and is considered a critical step in solving the murder. Additionally, the court has responded to the debates regarding whether Narin Güran walked up the path.
Regarding the death of 8-year-old Narin Güran, the high criminal court had sentenced Enes Güran and Yüksel Güran to aggravated life imprisonment, while Salim Güran was transferred to Erzurum and Nevzat Bahtiyar to Adana. While the decision of the appellate court is awaited, it was stated that these transfers were made to encourage potential confessions among the defendants.
WHY WERE THE DEFENDANTS TRANSFERRED TO DIFFERENT PRISONS?
It was noted that there are three possible scenarios to be evaluated by the appellate court: the approval of the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court's decision, its reversal, or an increase in the sentence given to Nevzat Bahtiyar.
It was stated that transferring the defendants to separate prisons could allow the perpetrators to face their consciences and confess the truth, especially when they are isolated.
One of the most debated topics in the horrific murder was: "Did Narin walk up the path leading to her house after leaving her cousins? Or did she not?"
DID SHE WALK UP THE PATH?
The path debate frequently came up in the trial where mother Yüksel Güran, brother Enes Güran, uncle Salim Güran, and neighbor Nevzat Bahtiyar, who buried the little girl in the stream, are being tried for the murder.
The court, which wrote the 944-page reasoned decision for the case in which mother Yüksel, brother Enes, and uncle Salim Güran received aggravated life sentences and neighbor Nevzat Bahtiyar received a sentence of 4 years and 6 months, responded to the path debates.
In the reasoned decision written by the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court, the following statements were used regarding the controversial path:
"As stated in the report received, 1.5 minutes after the last sighting on the school camera, there was a moving shadow on the path, moving in the direction of the house-barn.
It was stated that this shadow could be the victim due to the dark color of the clothing elements and the perception of being short and thin, and again, there was a moving black element in the lower part of the barn."
It was observed that the report stated that the movement in question was not pixel distortion, but real live movement. In the face of this situation, our court has accepted that the shadow in question was a live and real human movement.
Therefore, in the examination made in the prepared report, it is understood that this shadow headed towards the barn and house area and then the moving element disappeared; in the face of this finding, which is consistent with the school camera, it has been established by our court that the victim Narin walked up the path and went towards the house and its annex, the barn."
