A 'missing Audi' case: What happened to Diyanet President Ali Erbaş's car?
The fate of the luxury vehicle that Diyanet President Ali Erbaş once remarked, 'They begrudged me an Audi,' remains uncertain. CHP deputy Mustafa Adıgüzel has submitted a parliamentary question regarding the matter.
CHP Ordu Deputy Mustafa Adıgüzel asked about the make, model, year, and daily and monthly rental costs of the vehicle in a parliamentary question he submitted to Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz 9 months ago. However, these questions remain unanswered.
The vehicles currently in the Diyanet inventory and at Erbaş's disposal include a Mercedes, an armored Mercedes, a red TOGG, and a Mercedes Vito.
However, the whereabouts of the Audi A8 remain unknown.
Commenting on the issue, Adıgüzel stated, "This incident has now turned from a 'shameful Audi' case into a 'missing Audi' case. We wanted to obtain information regarding the brand, model, year, and cost of the vehicle, but we received no response. An institution like the Diyanet must account for every penny to the public."
