A 'Süleyman Soylu operation' in the police force? 235 police chiefs retired: Among them is Soylu's right-hand man

Retirement arrangements within the police force, carried out by the High Evaluation Board, have been completed. The board, which met yesterday under the chairmanship of Director General of Security Mahmut Demirtaş, decided to retire 235 police chiefs.

235 POLICE CHIEFS RETIRED

The High Evaluation Board (YDK) decided to retire 18 central police chiefs, 77 second-class police chiefs, and 40 third- and fourth-class police chiefs.

Following evaluations based on the list prepared by the Personnel Department, the board re-retired 100 police chiefs whose previous retirement decisions had been annulled by the administrative court.

Thus, a total of 235 police chiefs have been retired.

SOYLU'S CLOSE ASSOCIATE RETIRED

Another notable point among the names retired was the inclusion of a key figure from former Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu's close circle. Among those retired by the YDK is former Deputy Director General Resul Holoğlu, who was one of the prominent figures in the police force during Soylu's ministerial term.

During Soylu's tenure as Interior Minister, Resul Holoğlu first served as the Head of the Department of Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM), and subsequently became the Deputy Director General responsible for the KOM Department. Holoğlu was known as Soylu's right-hand man in the police force.

Following the completion of the retirement procedures for the police chiefs, attention has turned to those who will be promoted to the rank of first-class police chief. Appointments and promotion processes to fill the vacated positions will come to the agenda in the coming days.
