Ahmet Hakan's CHP call to Muharrem İnce: 'After this point...'

Claims that Memleket Party Chairman Muharrem İnce will join the CHP have become a major topic on the political agenda.

CHP MP Ali Öztunç made a statement regarding the claims that İnce would join the CHP, saying, "I have information on this matter, it is true." Öztunç said, "According to the information I have, everyone knows that Mr. Muharrem has an intention to come to the Republican People's Party. However, I do not know the attitude of the Republican People's Party headquarters management on this issue. But I know that Mr. Muharrem has such a request, a desire to return to his 'father's hearth'."

Hürriyet Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Hakan, who is close to the government, evaluated the claims about İnce in his column.

In the section of his column today titled "The best thing Muharrem İnce can do," Hakan addressed İnce by saying, "Brother, enough with wandering around," and made the following call:

"After this point, the best thing you can do is to join the CHP. If Özgür Özel has truly invited you to the party, don't hesitate, accept it immediately."
