At the end of his statement, Efkan Ala expressed that Turkey needs a new constitution and said that all political parties must be in agreement during the constitutional process. Noting that even though the AKP has a majority, they want to act together with the opposition, Ala spoke as follows:

“The new constitution needs to encompass not just the ruling party, but all segments of society. Even if we have the opportunity to draft a constitution on our own, we want to do it together with the opposition. A constitution approved by broad segments will pave the way for Turkey and contribute to sustainable development.”
