AKP's Şamil Tayyar names the only minister who will not change in the Cabinet

Claims that "there will be a change in the Cabinet," which emerged before the Eid al-Adha holiday, continue to maintain their place on the agenda. It had been claimed that the change in question would be made after the holiday break and that new ministries would be established along with the changes.

Pro-government journalist Cem Küçük had argued that there would be no change in the Cabinet, saying, "I think the presidential election will likely be held in November 2027 or March 2028. The current cabinet is generally progressing successfully. If the President is going to make a cabinet change, he will do it in January 2026."

Claims regarding a Cabinet revision were discussed on the Medya Kritik program broadcast on TGRT Haber, which is close to the government.

TGRT Haber TV Ankara Representative Fatih Atik said, "The division of some ministries is on the agenda," adding, "The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will be separated. These 3 ministries will be merged within themselves."

"IT COULD HAPPEN THIS WEEK"

Atik also included the words, "When the undersecretariat system is introduced, the number of deputy ministers will be reduced to 1-2. A complete system change will be implemented. It is expected to happen within this week."

Former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar also made evaluations regarding the Cabinet reshuffle claims. Pointing out that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has not changed names much in recent years, Tayyar stated that he has changed his tactics in this regard.

Tayyar stated that there are even those who say the Cabinet change will happen this Friday, and expressed that there is serious preparation for a change in terms of the system.

"DEPUTY MINISTRIES SHOULD BE ABOLISHED"

Giving examples of system changes such as "the division of ministries and the reinstatement of undersecretariats," Tayyar said that deputy ministries should be abolished and that this position places a burden on the system.

Stating that he does not expect a very radical change, Tayyar drew attention to the fact that rumors on the subject have increased in recent days. Stating that the only minister whose seat is guaranteed is Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Tayyar noted that the possibility of a change in position for Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan could also come to the agenda.
