At the end of 2024, a notable regulation regarding the scrap vehicle incentive was submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

The legislative proposal, prepared by Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Kayseri Deputy İsmail Özdemir and Kırıkkale Deputy Halil Öztürk, aims to provide an SCT exemption for domestically produced new vehicles to citizens who scrap their vehicles aged 25 and older.

If the proposal is enacted, 12 models from 6 different brands will be covered by the incentive.
