Another suspicious death in the defense industry: Havelsan expert found hanging in his home
In Ankara, 32-year-old cybersecurity expert R.K., who worked at Havelsan, was found dead, hanging from a bunk bed in his home. Previously, on January 3, 2024, software engineer Yusuf Serdar Yücel, who worked at Roketsan, was also found dead in his home.
In an incident that occurred on Friday in the Yenimahalle district of Ankara, 32-year-old cybersecurity expert R.K. was found hanging in his home.
Found by his cousin, R.K. was cut down from where he was tied with a rope in the hope that he might still be alive. Medical teams arriving at the scene determined that R.K. had lost his life.
HE HAD NO ECONOMIC OR PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS
Initial investigations by police teams determined that R.K. worked at Havelsan and was a cybersecurity expert.
It was learned that R.K. lived with his cousin, and information was shared that he had no economic or psychological problems. Whether the incident was a suicide or occurred for another reason will be clarified as a result of the investigation.
