"When their objections were rejected, they applied to the Istanbul 8th Criminal Court of First Instance. The judge was Fatih Kapan. Kapan unexpectedly ruled for Barım's release.ruled for Barım's release.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office immediately objected. The Istanbul 20th High Criminal Court accepted the objection and decided that Barım's detention should continue.

The Council of Judges and Prosecutors removed Kapan from his post and exiled him to the Consumer Court. Then, they launched an investigation into Kapan and sent an inspector. Kapan, who took a one-month leave, submitted his written defense and retired without waiting for the summer decree. He began working as a lawyer at a friend's office in Istanbul. As far as I have learned, he has been attending court cases for a month. On the day he was seen on the Silivri shuttle, he was going to meet with CHP Seyhan Mayor Oya Tekin. The office he is affiliated with might take on Tekin's legal representation.
