Bombshell report on the IMM indictment: 'Two more supplementary indictments are coming'

AKP member Şamil Tayyar made significant statements on social media regarding the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) indictment. Tayyar stated that the number of suspects included in the indictment will increase and that at least two more supplementary indictments will be prepared.

Tayyar shared a post stating, "It is likely that at least two more supplementary indictments will come, and the number of suspects will increase."

In his statements regarding the IMM indictment, Şamil Tayyar noted that this process is not just a legal matter, but has also become one of the main agendas of politics.

Tayyar expressed that it is important for the indictment to proceed within the framework of the law, but that politics must also chart its own course in accordance with social expectations and needs.

Emphasizing that politics being trapped between two extremes will not benefit society, Tayyar said, "I do not believe that a totally rejectionist or totally accepting attitude, or a fight conducted with political considerations rather than legal ones, will benefit anyone."

He further stated that politicians should evaluate the country's agenda from a broader perspective and focus on real problems, primarily deep poverty and economic difficulties.

Tayyar pointed out that discussing the process solely through the judiciary and politics would create negative effects on society. Using the expression, "Even if the parties wound each other or one knocks the other out, as the distance from society grows, they move further away from being a source of hope," Tayyar argued that the political institution must act with sensitivity to the expectations of society.
