Breaking News... Facing up to 30 years in prison: Verdict reached for manager Ayşe Barım!

Talent manager Ayşe Barım, who was detained over allegations of monopolization in the acting industry and later arrested on charges of “attempting to overthrow the Government of the Republic of Turkey” as part of the reopened Gezi Park investigation, has appeared in court for the second time.

During the hearing, which began at 11:00 AM as part of the case, many famous figures were heard as witnesses.

Testifying in court, actress Ceyda Düvenci said, “I participated in Gezi Park for three days. Emine Ayşe Barım did not direct me. I participated of my own volition. We have been working together for 23 years. I did not see Emine Ayşe Barım at Gezi Park. There was never any direction via social media either. If there is a comprehensive meeting with the press regarding work, the manager is present. They are not present for private meetings. When there was a meeting with actors and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara, my artist friend Yavuz Bingöl called me, and that is how I went. I did not testify to protect Ayşe Barım. I explained the situation as it was during the investigation phase. I am not protecting her; I am describing her personality.”

RIZA KOCAOĞLU: "I WENT TO GEZI PARK OF MY OWN FREE WILL"

Actor Rıza Kocaoğlu, who also testified, stated that there was no direction from Barım:

"I did not participate in the events; I went to Gezi Park. I went of my own free will. I saw Ayşe Barım once. I went first, and I saw Ayşe Barım there just as I saw everyone else. There was no direction from her to post on social media. I left my own home and went."

NEJAT İŞLER: BARIM DID NOT PROVIDE DIRECTION

Actor Nejat İşler stated that he knows Barım very well and expressed the following:

“I know Ayşe Barım very well. I went to Gezi Park by coincidence. I was living in Bodrum and had come to Istanbul for a business meeting; while I was there, I took a look. We have been working together for over 20 years. I am a member of the Revolutionary Workers' Union (DISK), and I went directly to their tent at Gezi Park.”

Answering questions from the lawyers, İşler added, “Ayşe Barım did not direct me. I would consider it an insult to myself if someone were to direct me; at most, if we eat together, Ayşe insists on paying the bill, that is all.”

DOLUNAY SOYSERT: "AYŞE BARIM IS APOLITICAL"

Actress Dolunay Soysert also emphasized that Barım does not have a political personality, stating, "Ayşe Barım is definitely apolitical."

HALİT ERGENÇ: “I DO NOT KNOW WHO PREPARED THE STATEMENT”

Actor Halit Ergenç stated the following:

“Ayşe Barım did not direct me. I participated myself; I must have gone for 3 or 4 days. I saw her while I was there, I ran into her, but I don't know if she arrived before or after me. We have been working together for 23-24 years. Outside of our business relationship, she has never provided such direction.”

When asked by the presiding judge who prepared the statement, he replied, “I looked at the text there, and I read it because it aligned with my views. I don't know who prepared it.”

MEHMET GÜNSÜR: “MY PARTICIPATION WAS ENTIRELY MY OWN CHOICE”

Speaking at the hearing, Mehmet Günsür also stated that he participated in the Gezi Park protests entirely of his own volition:

“Ayşe Barım did not direct me regarding going to Gezi Park or how I should behave there; I make the posts on my social media account myself, Ayşe Barım does not.”

THE INFORMANT HAS A CRIMINAL RECORD FOR FRAUD

Sedat Gül, who reported Ayşe Barım, said, “I wrote my opinion as a citizen because I saw it a lot on social media.” It was revealed that Gül has a criminal record for “Forgery of Official Documents and Fraud.”
