Cause of death for landscape architect Ece Gürel determined

Gürel, who was found on the verge of freezing to death late last night following an extensive search after she went missing in Istanbul's Belgrade Forest, has passed away at the hospital.

CAUSE OF DEATH DETERMINED

It was determined that Gürel suffered from hypothermia due to prolonged exposure to the cold, and it was learned that her heart stopped twice and her internal organs failed due to hunger and dehydration.

HEART STOPPED A SECOND TIME, COULD NOT BE SAVED

New information regarding Ece Gürel's death was shared on the program "Müge Anlı ile Tatlı Sert" on ATV. It was stated during the broadcast that Ece Gürel's heart stopped for a second time last night, but she could not be resuscitated this time.

Following Ece Gürel's death, Müge Anlı stated, "It was learned that her organs failed because she remained hungry and thirsty for a long time."

AUTOPSY PROCEDURES FOR ECE GÜREL ARE ONGOING

Following examinations at the hospital, crime scene investigation teams transferred Ece Gürel's body to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue in Yenibosna.

The police are continuing their investigation into what Gürel experienced in the forest and whether she was the victim of any foul play.
