CHP's action plan for minimum wage
Protesting the newly announced minimum wage, the CHP will send its deputies to working-class neighborhoods in Ankara. Meanwhile, Özgür Özel is set to visit HAK-İş and Türk-İş.
The new minimum wage announced by the government as 22,104 TL has drawn significant backlash from the opposition and the public. Following this development, the CHP has activated its action plan regarding the minimum wage.
According to a report by BirGün, the CHP's first step will begin with a closed group meeting today at 14:00. Following the meeting, members of parliament will head to the field.
CHP sources announced that members of parliament will board buses in groups of 10 to meet with citizens in neighborhoods in Ankara where workers reside in high numbers.
Party leader Özgür Özel will pay visits to HAK-İş and Türk-İş to evaluate the minimum wage discussions with labor unions.
This move by the CHP aims to further strengthen the reactions against the new minimum wage decision.
