Claim that Yusuf Dikeç set a condition for an interview with L'Equipe: Did he ask for 1 million lira?
It has been alleged that national athlete Yusuf Dikeç, who won a silver medal at Paris 2024, requested a fee in response to an interview request from the French newspaper L'Equipe.
National athlete Yusuf Dikeç, who won a silver medal for Turkey alongside Şevval İlayda Tarhan in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, has once again made headlines.
Dikeç has become a topic of discussion due to his response to an interview offer from the famous French sports newspaper L'Equipe.
According to a report by T24, Dikeç requested 1 million lira through his lawyer for the offer received from L'Equipe.
He also stated that the interview should last a maximum of 30 minutes and that he would not answer questions regarding his military career or personal matters.
The newspaper found these conditions "excessive" and used the phrases "his words are very expensive" and "very far from the simplicity with which he won the silver medal" to describe Dikeç.
