Footage filmed during the December 18 World Arabic Language Day events at the Tahir Büyükkörükçü Anatolian Imam Hatip High School in Konya has drawn significant backlash.

During the event, a student dressed in a manner resembling an ISIS militant was given a toy weapon and made to fire at his peers.

TÖBSEN Central Executive Board member Serkan Bebek reacted to the scandalous footage on his social media account.

Bebek stated, "While New Year's celebrations are being banned, is it permitted to give children weapons and dress them like ISIS? Which national and cultural value does this performance align with?"
