The verdict has been announced in the murder case of Narin Güran, who was reported missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district, and whose lifeless body was found on September 8.

In the trial held at the 8th High Criminal Court, Narin's mother Yüksel Güran, her brother Enes Güran, and her uncle Salim Güran were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment.

Nevzat Bahtiyar was acquitted of the charge of 'intentional killing of a child in complicity' and was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for 'destroying, concealing, or altering evidence of a crime.' It was decided that Bahtiyar would remain in custody.

The Diyarbakır Bar Association announced that they would appeal the acquittal decision given to Nevzat Bahtiyar regarding the charge of 'killing in complicity'.

While the sentence given to Nevzat Bahtiyar, who carried the body of 8-year-old Narin Güran, has sparked debate, Bahtiyar's lawyer, Ali Eryılmaz, made a post on his social media account that drew backlash.

Following the verdict in the case, Lawyer Eryılmaz shared an AI-generated song for Narin with the note, "May your soul find peace, little girl."

Many social media users reacted to Eryılmaz's post. Tweets were directed at Eryılmaz such as, "How can a lawyer make such a post?" and "With what conscience are you trying to gain engagement by sharing an emotional song?"
