Details emerge in union murder! Suicide note found

Long-standing tension at the Birleşik Metal-İş Union's Anatolian Branch has ended tragically with an armed attack.

ARGUED OVER ALLEGATIONS

It was stated that Branch President Deniz Ilgan became enraged due to allegations he heard about himself upon returning from leave and confronted Erdinç Koç.

During the ensuing argument, Ilgan lost control and fired at Koç with a gun. After killing Koç, he attempted suicide by shooting himself in the neck with the same weapon.

RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL IN CRITICAL CONDITION

Police and medical teams dispatched to the scene rushed Ilgan to the hospital in critical condition. However, despite all interventions at the hospital, Ilgan also lost his life.

SUICIDE NOTE DISCOVERED

According to a report by Sabah, the Ankara Police Department's Homicide Bureau launched a comprehensive investigation following the incident.

A suicide note was found during the examination of Deniz Ilgan's office.

It was learned that in the note, Ilgan claimed that Erdinç Koç had been gossiping behind his back, acting hypocritically, and engaging in corruption.

Additionally, it was noted that he wrote that he believed Koç was jealous of him, which led to the tension between them.

INVESTIGATION CONTINUES

While police teams are investigating the causes of the disputes within the union, they are taking statements from union employees and witnesses to shed light on the background of the incident.

The Homicide Bureau continues its multi-faceted investigation.
