According to the allegations, AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik was a guest on Mehmet Akif Ersoy's program broadcast on Habertürk on December 2, 2025. Approximately seven days after this broadcast, information was shared that Ersoy had been taken into custody and subsequently arrested.

Another name that drew attention within the scope of the investigation was Furkan Torlak, who later resigned from his position at the Directorate of Communications.

According to journalist Timur Soykan, it was stated that Torlak held a critical position at the Directorate of Communications and was known for his proximity to AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, as well as Fahrettin Altun.

According to the information provided, Furkan Torlak previously served as an advisor to Ömer Çelik. It was also stated that Torlak was one of the former advisors to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş.
