A scene has emerged showing presenter Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, who was arrested and sent to prison as part of a drug investigation that also extended to the media world, playing the role of a sex worker in Şafak Sezer's film Ketenpere.
Famous presenter Ela Rümeysa Cebeci had been detained as part of a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and was released after giving a statement and a blood sample.
Cebeci, whose drug test came back positive, was arrested and sent to prison.
While new allegations and revelations regarding the investigation continue to dominate the public agenda, correspondence between Cebeci and Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran was leaked to the press during the examination of her mobile phone.
Saran, who gave a statement as part of the investigation, was released under judicial control.
While the investigation remains on the agenda, former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar claimed that Cebeci had become a whistleblower and would also hand over her archive. However, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office denied Tayyar's claims.
It has emerged that Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, who also worked as an actress for a period before her presenting career, took part in a well-known feature film.
