FETÖ investigation launched: Look who attended the opening of Maydonoz Döner!

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that a large-scale operation was carried out against a doner restaurant chain determined to be providing financing to the terrorist organization FETÖ.

Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 353 suspects, including public personnel, were detained. It was learned that the restaurant chain targeted in the operation is Maydonoz Döner.

It has emerged that many figures from the AKP and MHP attended previous openings of Maydonoz Döner, which was subjected to an operation due to its links to FETÖ.

Among the figures who cut the ribbon at the opening events are AKP mayors, district officials, and high-level executives from the MHP Ankara organization.

COMPANY OWNERS ALSO IN CUSTODY

The investigation, which has been ongoing for approximately 1.5 years by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was conducted based on serious findings that Maydonoz Döner provided financial support to FETÖ. Company owners were also among those detained as part of the investigation.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, in a statement on his social media account, stated that the fight to dry up FETÖ's financial resources continues with determination, using the expression, "We will not turn a blind eye to any structure that provides financing to terrorist organizations."

MHP ANKARA PROVINCIAL CHAIR ATTENDED THE OPENING

It was noted that MHP and AKP politicians attended the openings of Maydonoz Döner in various provinces. MHP Ankara Provincial Chair Alparslan Doğan attended the opening of the Maydonoz Döner branch in Kızılay on March 1, 2024, along with his administration.

Doğan included the opening event in a post on his social media account and used the following expressions:

"Maydonoz Döner Business Opening (Kızılay), Kütahya Ceramic Store Opening (Keçiören), Mamak Open-Air Meeting... We are preparing for the March 31 Local Elections without stopping or tiring under the command of our leader, our Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, and in this context, we are coming together with our dear fellow citizens on every platform to hold consultations. As the People's Alliance, we will write an epic in our Ankara in the March 31 Local Elections. The People will win, Ankara will win!"

AKP MAYORS CUT THE OPENING RIBBON

AKP mayors and district officials also attended the openings of Maydonoz Döner in various districts. AKP Akyurt Mayor Hilal Ayık, AKP Akyurt District Chair Murat Yıldırım, board members, and council members cut the ribbon at the Maydonoz Döner opening in Akyurt. Photos from the opening were shared on the official social media accounts of AKP Akyurt.

Another name who attended the opening was Bala Mayor Ahmet Buran. MHP Provincial Chair Alparslan Doğan, MHP Bala District Chair Bayram Özdemir, former MHP Central Executive Board (MYK) member Mehmet Ali Tanrıverdi, and AKP Bala District Chair Evren Dalkıran also took part in the opening.
