Following Istanbul, education suspended in 4 more provinces

Due to the snowfall that continues to intensify in Istanbul, education has been suspended for one day across the entire province.

Istanbul Governor Davut Gül stated in a post on social media that the snowfall and cold weather will continue. It was also announced that employees with disabilities, those with chronic illnesses, and pregnant women working in public institutions and organizations will be considered on administrative leave today.

KASTAMONU

In the Kastamonu districts of İhsangazi, Devrekani, Seydiler, Çatalzeytin, and Daday, bused education has been suspended today due to adverse weather conditions.

ÇORUM

In Çorum, bused education has been suspended tomorrow in some villages of the Ortaköy district due to adverse weather conditions.

KAHRAMANMARAŞ

In Kahramanmaraş, education has been suspended for 1 day in some districts due to the effective snowfall and adverse weather conditions. It was reported that education has been suspended in Nurhak, Göksun, Elbistan, Dulkadiroğlu, and Onikişubat.

SİNOP

In Sinop, bused education has been suspended for today in some districts due to snowfall and icing. The following was noted in the statement made by the Governor's Office:

"Within the framework of the regulation on access to education through transportation, in the Türkeli district, in the villages of Akçabük, Direkli, Çatakörencik, Çatakgeriş, Doğanlı, and Kuz, as well as in the Boyabat district's villages of Çukurhan, Karamusalı, Boyalı, Engilekin, Ören, Erkeç, Yenimehmetli, Yenicamili, Yenikayalı, Bölüklü, Gökçukur, and Uzunçay, and in the same district's Doğanburnu and Gökçeağaçsakızı Caba Deresi neighborhoods, all public and private schools and special education institutions
