Istanbul woke up to an earthquake in the Sea of Marmara. AFAD announced that an earthquake occurred off the coast of Büyükçekmece in the Sea of Marmara.

According to the data provided, the magnitude of the earthquake, which occurred at 07:18 in the morning, was measured at 3.8. The earthquake occurred at a depth of approximately 7 kilometers.

'STRESS FIELD WARNING' FROM NACİ GÖRÜR

Following the earthquake that caused anxiety in the morning hours, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ercan stated, "The M4.1 earthquake that occurred off the coast of Kumburgaz at a focal depth of 13 km at 07:18 is an aftershock of the M6.2. There is no cause for concern," while Prof. Dr. Naci Görür issued a 'stress field' warning.

Sharing on his social media account, Naci Görür said the following:

"This morning, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 13.6 km in the Kumburgaz Fault zone of the NAF. Stress field changes continue in this zone. With love."
